John Zorn (born September 2, 1953 in New York City) is an American avant-garde composer, arranger, producer, saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist. Zorn is a prolific artist: he has hundreds of album credits, artist, composer, or producer. He has experience with a variety of genres, including jazz, rock, hardcore punk, classical, very metal, klezmer, film, cartoon, popular, and improvised music.
