Frank Grillo to Play Crossbones in Captain America Sequel. The Grey star Frank Grillo has landed the role of the villainous Crossbones in Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Grillo (End of Watch) will join Chris Evans who returns as the star-spangled hero “Captain America” along with Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes (who becomes the assassin Winter Soldier) and Anthony Mackie as the Falcon. The second installment will pick-up where the highly anticipated “Marvel’s The Avengers” leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world.
